“Mommy, why are you crying?” asked little Molly

Molly, their usually charming 8 year old, pigtails and blue eyes always gleaming rays of sunshine in everyone’s life walked into the room. “Mommy, why are you crying?” she sadly asked.

Three tear soaked tissues laid on the bed. Andrea had spent the last 20 minutes in tears.

“These are my pictures from the day your Daddy and I got married Molly. I always cry when I see this”.

Now this story began 10 years ago, long before Molly was even imagined being in Andrea and Dan’s life. It started on the day they decided to hire their wedding photographer. They had shopped around, figured it wasn’t really THAT hard to find someone to “take a few pictures” and made they made a decision they were felt really confident about.

Now the beginning of this story is going to determine the ending and Andrea explaining to Molly exactly why she is crying. Are these tears of joy or are they tears of frustration and “wishing something better happened”?

Imagine for a moment you are sitting right where Andrea is today. And then imagine you are sitting where Andrea and Dan were 10 years ago.

You get to make the decision- “Do I want the cheapest photographer I can find, or do I want the BEST photographer I can find?”

Because in 10 years from now, when you have your little Molly, or Alexis, or Brody, how will your story end?

Will you be sitting them on your lap going through your wedding album with all the beautiful photographs, shedding tears of joy from your wedding day memories? And those are tears from all the love and emotion of that day get to be relived over and over.

Or will you be explaining to them how your disc of images isn’t working and you can’t sit them beside you and show them all the memories of Mommy and Daddy on their wedding day? And that those are tears of frustration because you didn’t make the right decision 10 years ago and those memories are lost forever.

Now you get to write your own beginning to this story. As well as the ending.

How will your story to your Wedding Day memories begin and end? Right now, the pages are blank. In 10 years, you will have already filled them with memories.

Which story will you be reading to your little Molly?
